Chapter 12

hree more days went by, and the good news was it seemed that Sean’s amulet was helping. Caspian wasn’t forgetting Celestina’s visits, and it was taking longer for him to fall asleep when she arrived. They figured that she probably started casting a sleeping spell as soon as she got there. They could both tell that the subtle changes were pissing her off, but she didn’t voice her concerns to Caspian, obviously, or even when Caspian was asleep and she thought she was on her own.

Sean had taken to brushing Caspian’s beautiful hair every morning after breakfast. He loved running his hands through the silky strands. The alpha knew it was going to hurt when Brody and Flynn finally arrived and they weren’t alone anymore, but Sean couldn’t help himself. His fox was getting restless being caged up inside of him, but when he had tried to leave to take his fox on a run it had become apparent that he too was now stuck in the tower. He was trying to find a place in the kitchen area where he could break through the floor to explore what was beneath it without Celestina finding out. Caspian’s headaches were also almost non-existent, so they were one-hundred percent sure that they were caused by the spell being cast on him nightly.

“Sean!” Caspian called from the bathroom.

Sean was downstairs making breakfast while Caspian took his morning bath. It was routine after only a few days. The omegas voice was full of worry, so he pulled the pans off the stove and flipped the burners off.

When he got to the bathroom, Caspian was standing naked in the middle of the room. His dick was so hard it was purple at the tip. His own dick was instantly hard, and Caspian must’ve noticed as the young omega gulped.

“What’s happening to me?” he whispered.

Sean’s nose had already answered that question before Caspian had asked. Shit. Shit! How was he supposed to keep his hands off now? Hell, he didn’t have any supplies with him. Sean groaned. Caspian’s pheromones were driving him crazy. He’d helped omegas through their heats before, but Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, it was never like this.

“Feck! Sweetheart, you’re in heat,” Sean explained.

“What? How?” Caspian sputtered. He was itchy and hot all over and he wanted to jump Sean’s bones. He squeezed his hands together. Sean seemed to be just as affected as he was. Over the last few days, it had been hell keeping his hands to himself. Sean had explained about his brother, Brody, and how Caspian was essentially a prince since he was brother to the current Alpha. He also explained his position, so Caspian understood why Sean kept stopping in the moments before they had been about to kiss. But fucking hell, if Sean didn’t take him to bed right this moment then Caspian was going to jump him in the bathroom.

Before Caspian could do anything, Sean walked across and room and scooped Caspian up. Caspian’s legs went around the alpha’s waist automatically.
