In school, I had difficulty with this concept. My instructor had to keep reminding me how to use it. I was having trouble understanding it because I couldn't see it. There are rare occasions when you can go against this idea, but most of the time it's the rule.

It isn't always necessary for a promotional item to be large for it to make an impact on your audience. It's about placement. Maybe you have heard this saying: "The success of a business is determined by location, location, location." It's the same in advertising. Your message has to be delivered where your clients hang out. It may be online, at craft stores or specific events, maybe even restaurants. But this isn't the only important factor to keep in mind when considering layouts be sure to have the details about the placement. Is it a static placement or is it rotating, like a billboard? You need to know how long your ad will be displayed. Prime placement is on the homepage and above the fold (which means you don't need to scroll down the page to see it). The content for this ad is still minimal. You need an attention-grabbing heading with its call to action. This ad should be clickable so it will take potential clients to your webpage.
