EVERLEE – Don’t try to disconnect a video chat when you’re two dicks deep

We’re at a private hangar at the airport thirty minutes later and tucked inside is a small jet. Well, not small, but smaller than the planes I’m used to riding on.

The door opens and the steps flip down and standing at the top is a man dressed in a gray suit.

Brady.

He sees me and smiles. “Ms. Everlee. This is an unexpected surprise.” He says when I get to the top of the stairs.

“Hello Brady. I would have to agree with you.” I chuckle.

Brady is a man of mystery and apparently seemed multifaceted. He knows how to wear a suit, is as muscular as all the boys, and had a military-isk presence about him. Perhaps he served with Jax in the SEALs? It would make sense, but why act as chauffeur to them and now, apparently, a pilot?

I walk down the spacious dark hardwood, lacquer aisle and on the left are two sets of cream colored, leather seats facing one another with a table in the middle and on the right is a long couch and to its left another set of individual seats.

Six seats.

And a couch.

Bertha is casually leaned back on the couch with one leg splayed across it and her hand thrown in the air wearing a golden sequin dress sipping a glass of champagne.

Am I mental for having a sex crazed invisible elephant follow me around? Quite possibly.

I take a seat in one of the chairs by the couch and buckle my seatbelt. Yes Queen. Close access to the couch. Bertha raises her glass to me. A very Leo DiCaprio thing to do.

I close my eyes and lean my head back.

“Everything ok?” Emmett asks, letting his hand glide over my head.

“Yes. Excited to get back home.” And a little nervous. I was supposed to use this weekend to decompress without the guys to figure things out, but that obviously didn’t happen. We had planned to meet Tuesday night to talk about our future, but now I don’t know if that’s still happening. I don’t want to dampen the weekend, but there are things we still need to discuss. I know I don’t want to go anywhere, and I think they want the same, but what did that mean?

I open my eyes when I hear someone sit across from me.

Knox.

“Hey Ali.”

“Hey Knox.” I feel my stomach tighten.

Jesus, get a hold of yourself Everlee.

Brady closes the door and moves to the cockpit, closing that door as well. Moments later, we pull out of the hangar and my hands grip the armrest. I’m not usually scared of flying, so I don’t know what’s going on.

“You ok?” Knox notices, nodding towards my hands.

“Oh. Yea.” I pull my hands off the armrest and clasp them in my lap.

“Ok.” He eyes me cautiously.

I look out of the window and see us lining up, ready to take off. Brady chimes over the speaker and lets us know we’ll be home in about an hour and a half.
