Chapter Seven

Kyle was stuffed with pizza, salad and root beer. It’d been nice to discover that Gavin agreed that root beer was a mandatory accompaniment to pizza. Things between them had lightened somewhat. He still couldn’t believe he’d collapsed into tears. They’d burst out of him so unexpectedly he hadn’t been able to prevent them.

He glanced over at Gavin, who was in deep contemplation over something in their proposed contract. He rubbed at his chin with his thumb and forefinger, frowning before raising the silver pen he’d retrieved from an antique writing desk to cross something out. Despite so many things in his new world that still struck him as bizarre, the one thing that made it all okay—made it better than okay—was Gavin. The warmth and care he’d experienced with him in a week was more than he’d ever received from Roger in five years. It was heady to consider.

“All right, Kyle. We’ve discussed some very elementary things based on what you told me in regards to the porn you’ve watched.”

“Real quick. Can you train this blushing thing out of me?”

Gavin peered up at him, a lopsided smile on his face. “I’m a damn good Dom, Kyle. But I doubt even I can accomplish that.”

“I didn’t think so. Just thought I’d check.”

“Kyle?”

“Yes?”

“I’d like to wrap this up for tonight so I can bathe you then make you come again.”

Kyle squirmed on the sofa. He’d been shocked when Gavin had allowed them to eat at the coffee table in the living room. If it’d been his furniture, he wouldn’t have let anyone near it with pizza and soda. But there was something else that bothered him and he was scared to bring it up.

If I don’t mention it, maybe he’ll forget.

“What is it, Kyle?”

He’d never get away with anything living with Gavin. It would be worth it, though, if he could have Gavin’s undivided attention the way he’d had so far.

“Were you kidding back at the club when you said, uh, that thing about punishing me?”

“I don’t kid.”

That answers that question.

“Oh.”

“But not tonight. There’s been too much for you to handle in one day. We’ll finish this up for now after I find out the most important thing from you.” Gavin regarded him. “What do you suppose that would be?”

“My safewords, Master.”

“Exactly. Have you had a chance to think it over?”

“Yes. I’d like to go ahead and use red for stop, yellow for slow down and green for go until I get more comfortable with everything.”

Gavin had suggested it, and after stressing out over what words he should choose, he’d come to the conclusion that Gavin was definitely right with it being the way to go.

“Very good, boy.” Gavin marked something on the contract. “So for now, I can tie you up with materials such as leather or silk cords, but all other restraints or bindings such as chains or regular rope are soft limits, correct?”

Kyle winced. “Yeah. Sorry.”

“Don’t be.” Gavin’s tone had been severe and Kyle could see he meant his words.
