THE NATURE OF BLOODLINE INIQUITY

I want to delve further into the nature of bloodline iniquity so that you can understand how to recognize when it may be functioning in your life or in your family. There are signposts and indicators that are characteristics of iniquity that may be a bloodline issue.

In my experience of doing court cases for myself and for others, I can say with all confidence that what has been commonly called “generational curses” are the symptoms of a greater root, and that would be iniquity.

Proverbs 26:2 is clear that the curse cannot land without a legal right or cause.

Curses will not harm someone who is innocent; they are like sparrows or swallows that fly around and never land (NCV).

You can actually get delivered of a curse personally, and yet without realizing that it may be manifesting due to a legal right in the bloodline, see the same thing show up in other members of the family. We want to remove the legal right for the curse to land from the family so that it cannot touch the family ever again.

I have seen this play out in so many families, and I have seen the frustration and heartache that a curse connected to bloodline iniquity can bring by affecting successive generations, or multiple members of a family, even after one person was delivered by a miracle or by taking a strong stand of personal faith. When you get rid of the legal right for the curse to keep manifesting; which is the bloodline iniquity, the entire family will go free.

I am reminded at this juncture of the declaration that the apostle Paul made to the Philippian jailor as recorded in Acts 16:31: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” God does not want to bring salvation to this world one person at a time; He wants to save whole households at a time!

From Adam’s fall until the birth of Jesus, God had to protect the integrity of the righteous bloodline from which Mary would come from to keep the adversary from having a legal claim on her bloodline. This was why the prohibitions against entering into covenants with the heathen nations was so important, and it was why idolatry and cultism that came from the influence of the heathen nations around Israel brought such harsh judgment.

As we have shown in an earlier chapter, blood is a powerful spiritual property, both for blessing and for empowering the curse. When you read the early chapters of the Book of Genesis, you have to keep in mind that the promise made to satan vicariously functioning through the serpent in Genesis 3:15 was behind another dimension of the purpose of the Law of Moses; it was to put the boundaries up to protect the righteous bloodline from which the virgin Mary would come. Any legal claim by the adversary on that bloodline, introduced by iniquity, would have disqualified the bloodline.
