Collections

The Collections feature in Box is used as a method where you can store files, folders and links that you would like grouped together. You can think of a collection as a container for items that all fall into the same category such as pictures of your dog or documents for a school project.

When you create a collection, you are not moving these items from their original location into a new location. A collection allows you to store shortcuts to these files etc. in one place similar to how the favorites feature works. But the main difference between a collection and a favorite is that a collection can contain multiple items whereas a favorite is just one document or folder etc.

To create a Collection, simply click the + button next to the word Collections in the side navigation panel on the left. I will be making a collection for this year’s upcoming trip back to Hawaii so I will call my collection Upcoming Hawaii Vacation.
