Linux file-subsystem
The Linux file system is tree like hierarchy that consists of hierarchy consisting of directories as well as files.
The base of a Linux file system is “/” directory also known as “root”.
Unlike DOS and Windows file systems consisting of multiple “roots” and that to one for each disk drive.
The Linux file system mounts all disks somewhere underneath "/” file system.
