Chapter Eighteen

Ezra

A god damn Halloween party? Was my father fucking insane?

Attracting that kind of attention into Knightchurch was the last thing I needed and could end very, very fucking badly.

Opening the door to my room, I was met with the shit eating smirk of Caleb, laying on my bed, legs crossed in his fucking muddy boots, cleaning his teeth with his knife.

“Get the fuck off my bed, you animal.” I scowl.

A thunderous laugh rumbles from his chest as he jumps up from the antique, black wooden bed.

“What’s got you in a strop?” He asks. That silly, smug look still painted on his face. I’m gonna punch that fucking look straight off at any minute.

“You, putting those shit covered things on my bed.”

Caleb clamps his lips down, stifling a smile and looks down as his filthy boots.

“You sure that’s all it is and not something to do with the pretty brunette I saw you talking to the other day?”

Flashbacks of my tongue in Bennett’s pussy and her groaning beneath me in the stable invade my mind. My cock strains against the zipper of my jeans, begging for release.

Caleb smirks as if he’s got it all figured out.

Bennett Keane is too good for me. I don’t deserve someone as pure as her. All I’ll do is taint and tarnish her. Destroy her with my shadows. It’s a constant battle inside of me.

“Cedar Cross has it in for us again, The vicar's daughter is missing and guess who suspect number one is?”

“River Oakwell is missing?” Caleb’s eyebrows narrow as if he’s thinking about something.

“Yep, and it has fuck all to do with us but you know what those old mother fuckers down in the village are like.”

Caleb nods.

“So apparently we’re having a fucking party to make friends with the same ones who would gladly burn us at the stake.”

Caleb chuckles. “Andreas Silvaro has agreed to an open house party?” Caleb stares in disbelief.

“So it seems.” I can hardly believe it myself. “Come on,” I gesture over my shoulder, “we’ve got work to do.”

Lifting up the rug and opening the dusty trapped door, we both descend into the darkness, covering our mouths against the attacking debris.

Slowly we make our way through the tunnels until we arrive at our destination. My favourite sound proofed room.

Being this close to my prey is like a silver bullet to a werewolf. It was toxic but oh fuck was it my weakness.

Caleb had been busy collecting our little friend who was strapped to a bed on the other side of the iron door we were about to enter.

Caleb is one of the only people who knows what lies within me. He sees my darkness and he adds to my demons with his own. That’s why he’s my brother to the end and there’s no one I’d rather have by my side right now.

As the iron door opens. I’m met with a terrified gaze. The man, tall and lean, lays out on a bed that wouldn’t look out of place in a centuries old, psychiatric hospital.
