Against the morning light of a sanguine sunrise, waves crash rhythmically on the beach. The smell of saltwater wafts in the air to gently caress the strands of golden hair. Sand brushes between the crevices of one of his hands in hers, and he smiles. He couldn’t remember the last time he felt so at peace. Perhaps it was destiny that brought the two of them together to this tropical paradise. He stared deep into her beautiful cerulean blue eyes, whose bloody optic nerves dangled between the fingers of his other hand. Was he in love? Yes. Yes, he was.
