6.2 Methodology: Prophet Model

The previous sections have provided the basic introduction methods of ML, only the prophet model will be basically introduced.

Prophet is an open-source algorithm developed by Facebook (Taylor and Letham 2018), and it has been used for time-series analysis based on an additive model (Zunic et al. 2020). It decomposes the time-series data into three main components: trend, seasonality, and holiday (Yan et al. 2019).
