I still want to say something that, despite its great dissimilitude, none the less is analogous to the incarnation of the Word. And some readers will perhaps look down on it. Nevertheless, I may say that I would not completely contemn it if another were to say it. For if the river should run through a pipe from the source down to the delta, is not the river alone, although no other Nile than the source and the delta, in the pipe, as I would so declare, just as the Son alone, although no other God than the Father and the Holy Spirit, became flesh?
