Rage

After an uncomfortable dinner where Krista glowered in his general direction over amazing food and a sleepless night spent imagining Krista and Naomi in the oversized king bed in his loft fucking like bunnies Rage awoke grumpy and determined. Sometime around 3am when he’d heard what might have been a bird outside but probably was Krista screaming in release he’d decided that he was going to do exactly as Naomi asked and follow her scheme to get Krista to forgive and forget. Even angry she’d been everything he’d remembered. And kissing Naomi had made him feel something he hadn’t felt in forever. He’d had sex, but it hadn’t been half as satisfying as that single interrupted kiss in his catering kitchen.

His life had been missing something in the last 10 years. His job fulfilled him, his social life was enjoyable and stress free and his relationships were superficial enough that they didn’t cause him any undue irritation. What he missed was the connection he’d had with Krista and Naomi. He missed the laughter and the passion and the challenge. He missed Naomi’s prodding him to do better and Krista’s quiet support when he failed. He just missed them, so he was going to get them back. Naomi’s plan was simple, be everywhere they were going to be to show Krista that they could enjoy each other’s company. Showing up didn’t seem like much on the surface, but he knew it was the most important challenge of his life.
