Service mapping is another important function that allows for you to use automation to address issues such as outage scenarios that affect a service. An example would be to service-map an EMR platform. If the EMR has an outage, the backend infrastructure is mapped out in a way so that the service mappings know that, for example, a database may be impacted, which could disrupt the use of the EMR. One way of handling this would be for an automated function to fail over to a secondary node. Once your services are designed and mapped and your AIOps platform is configured with automation and rules, you can test the system for accuracy. Lastly, it is important to monitor and troubleshoot issues that occur with automation to ensure the best outcomes.
