8.4.1 DEAP Dataset

DEAP dataset was used as a test dataset. DEAP [119] is a publically available dataset for the analysis of human affective analysis in a multimodal way. The DEAP database has been used in so many times in various research studies for detection [120, 121]. An EEG and the physical gestures of the 32 participants were recorded as each watched 40-minute quotes for music videos. Participants rated each video according to levels of arousal, valence, likes/dislikes, dominance, and familiarity.

To set the true emotional states we referred to the rating scale mentioned in [119]. We used the DEAP self-report reports to identify selected areas using the nine-point Likert scale.
