The rest of the day went by quietly. We ate good food, relaxed in front of the fire and by the time we were due to leave for dinner with William, Etta and Spencer, I felt like I was floating from the buzz my body felt.

I was in my room, putting the finishing touches on my attire when my phone dinged. I frowned, wondering who was texting me and my heart stopped as I opened the text from an unknown number.

Unknown Number: Merry Christmas Blair. L.

The phone dinged a second time and I exited from the text to see a picture below. I clicked on the photo to enlarge it and my heart paused as I read the writing at the top of the piece of paper in the picture.

THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENTARY TRUST OF VALENTINA HUNTER

Oh fuck.

He had done it. He had actually fucking done it.

Levi had found a copy of the trust document.

The phone went off a third time and I hastily clicked into the new message.

Unknown Number: It’s hard to read. Let’s meet up in person tomorrow. Same place at 12 noon.

I finished pulling on my jacket, staring at the phone as I rushed to find the guys. I found Reed at the bottom of the stairs, standing in jeans, boots and a black jacket looking edible.

“Reed,” I said breathlessly, handing him the phone to read. He took it from me, eyebrows furrowed as he scanned the messages.

“This is good news,” he said, nodding as he looked back up. “We’ll go tomorrow and see him.”

I breathed a sigh of relief at his agreement and when Colton and Grayson appeared, I showed them too. We collectively agreed it was the best option to see Levi in person so we could see what we were up against once and for all.
