"Aurora?" Lucien enters my room, sitting beside me. I didn't even hear him open the door. I rub the crust out of the corner of my eyes as I sit up.

"Yeah?" His hand lays on top of mine, he frowns lightly. "Chance wants you to meet us in the wing."

"Which wing? You have multiple." I remark, rolling my eyes. "The one you're not allowed to go in, princess. Please lose the attitude. Chance is in no mood to put up with that. He will hurt you, Aurora." I lick my lips, nodding. "I'm sorry. I didn't get much sleep last night."

"Don't apologize, sweetheart. It's okay." He gives me a warm smile – he’s being nice, he's never this nice… He helps me off the bed, helps me pick out clothes – even though I know how to dress myself, and we walk down the dimly illuminated hallway. Turning down the corridor on the left, walking straight into the dark wing they forbade me to enter – I came to a halt as I heard a scream.

That scream – that scream sounds so familiar.

"Luc?" His eyes beam at me. That's the first time I called him by his nickname.

"Yeah?" He grinned that devilish grin I’ve seen before. I decided to ignore the scream – it was just the wind. It could have been Cujo – right? "Why're you being so nice? You're never this nice to me. What's going on?" My eyebrows pinch together as I try to figure it out.

"Just trust me. I'll be right beside you the entire time. Okay?" What. The. Actual. Fuck. I heard the most ear piercing – gut wrenching scream just beyond the doors in front of me. "Okay! That's it! What the fuck is going on? Don't tell me to watch my damn mouth either Lucien Banachi!!! Tell me right fucking now or I swear to god-"

He cuts me off, placing his index finger to my lips. He frowns, lifting me up in his arms. "Normally, I'd have you bent over my knee for that, with me smacking that pretty, plump ass of yours. But no. Just relax – please? Trust me, okay? If you want to leave, we can. Chance will stay in there though. And I can't promise I'll be here for you all day, but I’ll be around to check on you."

"What the fuck are you talking about?" "Aurora, come on. You'll see what I'm talking about. I don't know if you're going to like it or hate it. I'm sure a little bit of both." He smiles faintly, kissing my forehead.

As we walk further into the wing, the walls feel like they’re closing in. I see blood splattered on the floor, crimson handprints on the walls, also covered in blood.
