Food and Drink

Water is a very important necessity for survival outside of our home. Finding water in the wild is difficult and not all water that appears to be safe is good for drinking. There could be bacteria in it and they could make us all very sick.

Each backpack has enough water bottles to last us a few days. We also have an interesting thing that looks like a suitcase filled with medical machines. Dad calls it a water purification system. When we run out of drinking water, we can use this strange machine to clean river or lake water from the bacteria and to make it good for drinking.
