I sat on the floor of my bedroom as my mate slept in her wolf form, her head resting on my lap. After enduring one of the most painful shifts she would ever face, she had fallen asleep.

Her wolf was fucking stunning, though.

Her coat was a soft black, glistening purple as the sun shone on it. Her yellow eyes were magnificent, and she exuded dominance, though I knew that my mate loved to play submissive.

But to the rest of my pack members, I knew they would instantly bow down to her.

I sifted my hands through her soft, black fur, loving the texture of it beneath my rough palms. She was sleeping peacefully, dreams of running through a meadow of purple wildflowers flitting through her mind.

Then suddenly, it wasn’t.

She opened her eyes, looking up at me, her subconscious mind no longer hiding everything in her head from me. Instantly, her worry over the witch flooded my mind, and I growled at all of the information just laying before me in her incredible mind.

Her parents had slaughtered the alpha of the Moonshine pack, and to cover their tracks, they’d paid that witch to cover it all up, basically selling their daughter to her as payment.

I gritted my teeth, my wolf surging forward. I growled and moved from beneath her, my body rippling and easily changing into my wolf’s. She whimpered in my presence, her head laying on her paws.

I’m not angry at you, baby, I growled through our link. I’m pissed that you were used as a bargaining chip.

God, and James. Fucking James had never known what had happened to his parents. He’d been raised by his grandparents and hidden until he was of age to take over the Moonshine pack. But even I knew I would never be able to tell him what happened. The scene that had played out in my little wolf’s eyes had been horrendous.

She raised her head at that, her golden eyes seeking out mine. I nudged her snout with mine. I will get rid of this witch for you and free you from whatever curse she’s bestowed upon you, I swore.

She whined and shook her head. She’s trapped me because I’m too powerful.

I released a displeased rumble from the depths of my chest, disagreeing with her. You are a true Luna, mate to one of the most powerful alphas of our kind. Of course, you will be powerful, and each of your strengths will come to you when it is time.

Her arousal suddenly met my nostrils. I growled softly, my tongue lapping at the side of her face. She wiggled her ass in the air, her tail swishing from side to side. I growled softly in her ear, moving behind her to lap at her cunt, the scent of her arousal growing stronger.

I positioned myself behind her and then moved my body over hers, surging inside of her. She howled, her head thrown back as I proceeded to fuck her.

She greedily took everything I offered her, panting and growling as she did so.
