“I can’t chance her becoming pregnant, Moira. It’s too dangerous for her and the babe.”

“No? You should have thought about that before you fucking gave her your bite. You chose her, you, Braydon. Your wolf only bites your mate. It was acting on instinct; what the fuck is your excuse? First, you bite her, and then you abandon her to be ravished by the poison alone. I sent them out to get you so you could save her. Not fucking knot her and then rip her apart. Get out!”

“She is my mate!” he snapped.

“She won’t be if she dies because you fucking murdered her! She won’t be anyone’s mate, now will she? Get out of this room and fetch the healers. She’s bleeding out while you argue with me,” she hissed violently as more hits sounded. Something cold was pressed between my legs as the darkness took me under, sparing me from the pain that continually rocked through me.

“Thank you,” I whispered as everything went dark.
