I took a few moments to look around the bedroom. We were in such a rush to fall into bed last night I hadn’t taken a very good look at the place. It was really nice with exposed brick walls, huge windows, and lots of light. The massive king-sized bed took up most of the floor space, and there was a nightstand with a coffee mug on it. No other furniture, rugs, or throw pillows, so basically the typical bachelor pad. I was debating whether to sneak off to the bathroom to deal with my morning breath when he opened his eyes.

His face was sleepy, but his eyes were sharp. His hair was a wild mess and he looked delectable. “Were you staring at me, Leary?” he asked playfully.

How embarrassing. Stop being a weirdo. Normally I would die of shame at this moment. However, this was a new day and I was New Cece. I did what I wanted and didn’t apologize for it. I knew this wasn’t going anywhere, and I knew that it was probably a bad idea to sleep with my boss. But I also knew that what we had was once-in-a-lifetime sexual chemistry. So instead of covering up, I decided to let him know just how much I wanted him.
