Chapter Seven

THERE ARE A few things on Kyle’s fantasy checklist that he wants to do before the school year ends and Aidan’s on summer break. For this one, he spends the day at the house while Aidan’s teaching. It’s difficult to concentrate, because his gaze is constantly drawn to the clock, and he wishes time would tick by faster.

Making dinner is a good way to pass an hour, but he hasn’t made any progress on his to-do list for work when he hears a car door shut.

He saves the graphic he was half-heartedly working on and then shuts his computer.

He’s spent the whole day thinking about how to start the evening. Would he pull Aidan in for a kiss first? Would they make it to the couch or could Kyle hold out long enough to make it to the bedroom? With the impatience that has been building all day, they’ll be lucky if Kyle manages to shut the front door before pouncing.

Kyle checks the lock on the adjoining door to make sure Ritchie won’t interrupt them. He’s been better about knocking now he knows Kyle and Aidan are together, but it’s still safer to lock the door. He’s run through his plans for the night since he woke up this morning, and he doesn’t want anything to mess with them.

Aidan pushes the door open with his hip. He has a messenger bag slung over his shoulder, a stack of folders in one hand, and his lunch box in the other. His hair is sticking up in every direction as if he ran his hands through it while grading papers.

He pauses when he sees Kyle clearly waiting for him. “Is everything all right?”

“It’s good,” Kyle promises. He slinks forward, taking the files from Aidan’s grip and setting them on the couch. He drops his lunch box there too then holds his hand out for Aidan’s bag.

“Are you sure?” Aidan asks as he hands it over. He nudges the door shut with his foot.

Kyle drops the bag on the couch, trusting the cushions to protect Aidan’s laptop. Then he crowds Aidan against the door and drops his knees. “Welcome home.”

“Uh.” Aidan stares down at him, mouth parted around words he doesn’t have the breath to say.

Kyle rubs his cheek against the front of Aidan’s pants. Before he closes his eyes or sinks too deeply into what he wants, he forces himself to look up. “Is this okay?”

Aidan nods. He still looks dazed, words escaping him. Satisfaction blossoms in Kyle’s chest, because he’s the one to make Aidan look like this, eyes wide and cheeks flushed. He wants to see how long he can draw it out for.

“I’ve been thinking about this all day.” Kyle pops the button on Aidan’s pants. “I wanted to surprise you when you came home.” He drags the zipper down as slowly as he can manage. “You’re always taking care of me, and I wanted to return the favor. A blowjob when you walked through the door, dinner, something after.
