In the field in front of the castle of Cuskelom, a magical dome structure shimmered as Orlora passed through it. In the dome, she noted how Jechorm had lent their technology to create energy barriers that contained their many prisoners. Most of the cells were shared and some were crowded. As Orlora walked through the magical structure, past the different cells, she felt the eyes of everyone on her, but she ignored them. Those were members of the Galactic Forcesâmere soldiers in this unfortunate war. At this time, Orlora had more important matters to address with a very specific group of people.
Coming to the end of the dome, Orlora saw where each of the surrendered Thymord agents stood separated from each other and had their hands bound, so they could not touch the handblade they wore on their wrist. The Guardians of Jechorm and the warriors of Talhon had done a fine job at securing them properly. This pleased Orlora.
With a smile, Orlora stepped toward them. âYou are Thymord Agents. You are sworn protectors of the worlds, and yet, here you are. Do you even know the true purpose for your presence here?â She looked at each of them for an answer. Some shook their heads, others averted their gazes, but a few met her eyes directly.
âWe are here to liberate this world from its backward way of thinking and to thrust it into a new age!â One of the agents answered, causing Orlora to chuckle.
As she approached him, she touched his mind with her magic, drawing out his name. âWell, Agent Rakkon, that would have been a very prudent reason for coming, but alas, it is not the true purpose of your visit here.â She shook her head as she clasped her hands together in front of her. She shifted her gaze to the others in the room and began to slowly pace in front of them. âYou are here because you have been manipulated to be here. You are merely following orders, I know, but now you will consider a new command.â She stopped her pacing to turn and face them. âOne that I will personally give you.â
âAnd why would we listen to you?â Rakkon asked the question on everyoneâs mind.
âBecause...â A smile spread across Orloraâs lips, revealing her fanged teeth. âThe Thymords are not answerable to a deathless Crephen. Rather they are answerable to the Sovereign.â She paused as she watched recognition slowly dawn in their eyes, and then she nodded. âAnd I am the Sovereign of the Thymord Order. I gave you the World Orbs, and I took them away when you mistreated them. I gave you all the protocols that you were to follow, but you have broken them. And now, you align yourselves with the Patron of War and Peace, and you blindly follow his commands. Did you not think a day of reckoning would come? Did you not think that after all this time that you would not be answerable to meâyour Sovereign?â
Rakkon chuckled a little then shook his head as best he could while being restrained.
