Danielle jumps on him as soon as he walks into the bar and holds on tight.

“It’s been a week. You’re being stupid.”

“Oh, you thought it was because I missed you? You’re not that cool,” Danielle says, pulling back and smirking. “I just couldn’t take another day of Chris acting like an asshole and denying it was about you being gone.”

“Funny. Like I even had time to see you last week,” Chris says.

“You mean Jason and I avoided you after you spent a whole night bitching at everything.” Danielle giggles as she turns to Caleb. “It was kind of cute at first when he was just all pouty. But then he started blaming inanimate objects for being in his way.”

“She’s exaggerating,” Chris says, but there’s not a lot of conviction in it as he shifts so his arm is brushing against Caleb’s.

“She is, but not by much,” Jason says as he and Scott walk up. “We’re still glad you’re back though.”

“Fucker. We should have told the club we were here to see the opening act.”
