Let the Wind Blow

Did you decide to go all-out for Jesus just now? Then I know He is really proud of you! You have just proven to Him how much you love Him and how very much He means to you. I tell you, Jesus doesn’t take your commitment to Him for granted. No, He really appreciates your love.

But like I said before, you don’t have to try to live up to your commitment on your own. In fact, you’re not supposed to. Somebody has been given the special task of doing the whole job for you.

May I please introduce Him to you? My friend, I would like you to meet the Holy Spirit.

“Holy Spirit, this is my friend ________. (I’m sorry, I don’t know your name, but, praise the Lord, we can be friends anyway.) Holy Spirit, my friend is a real nice person who wants Your help in becoming more like Jesus. There might still be a couple of rough spots that need some attention. But that’s all right; we know it won’t be a bit hard for You to smooth them out.”

Wow! I can tell you from experience that the Holy Spirit has a real talent for making life exciting. He’s going to transform you so that you can finally experience His genuine, undiluted, abundant life. Believe me, there can be no greater happiness on earth than when we live our lives the way God planned for us to live them. When we pattern our lives after the Lord Jesus Christ, we’re going to feel a satisfaction we never dreamed possible.

I can’t read your mind right now, so I don’t know what you’re thinking. But please don’t feel for one minute that God might leave you out. His wonderful life is for you just as much as it is for me or anyone else in this world. I don’t care how full of sin you are; I don’t care if you have a history of nothing but failures and mistakes; the Lord can transform you to be just as sweet and holy as Jesus is. Maybe you are overwhelmed by problems; your life is full of darkness at this moment. But you do not need to be discouraged, because the Lord Jesus wants to step into your situation and fix up the whole mess. He can transform your life to be a carbon copy of His own life, victorious and radiant.

I know a little song that says exactly what I’m trying to tell you. It goes like this: “The Savior can solve every problem/ The tangles of life He’ll undo/ There is nothing too hard for Jesus/ There is nothing that He cannot do.”

Boy, that’s really true. There’s nothing too hard for Jesus. He gets all excited about stepping into an impossibly horrible situation and transforming it into something unbelievably wonderful. In fact, I think you could say that’s the Lord’s favorite hobby.

I just thought of a nice illustration to show you what I mean. You already know that the Lord has changed water to wine for us many times since the revival started.
