The next morning, Tiger was feeling terribly alone as he sat behind the counter of the porn shop by himself. One coworker - his best friend - was dead and gone. The other, the one he was ready to profess his love to last night, had turned into one of those everlasting knobslobbers.

And now, there we was. He looked over at Gimp and smiled a sad, pathetic smile. Gimp, like the obedient boy he was, returned the smile. Or so Tiger figured. He couldn’t see Gimp’s mouth through the zipper mask.

Business was going as usual, a slow Monday morning. Tiger was feeling no thrill from the sight of the concierge girls strutting around the store and trying to entice the customers into a trip back to the booths. A few of them had even offered Tiger a free romp as a means of consoling him but his mind was too cluttered to enjoy such a thing.

“Where are the other two?” some customers asked.

“Manning the store all by yourself today?”

“Where’s that Millie chick? The place isn’t the same without her here.”

Customers just kept asking questions. Tiger kept playing dumb, not wanting to get into the story of The Everlasting Knobslobbers. Every few minutes he looked at the time on his phone, hoping the clock would speed the fuck up so he could get out of there and go bring the videos to Beefblaster. Ally promised him she’d show up at closing time to accompany him on that venture. It was a long and grueling day. Only the nude pictures Ally was sending him helped him get through it.

About an hour before closing time, the front door of the store came open. As soon as Tiger looked up he knew that the two people who had just come in were not customers. Both of these people had been customers before, but the badges on their lapels made it clear this was police business.

“Hello there,” said Detective Gunderson as he approached the counter. “You look like just the person we need to speak to.”

Tiger did not stand up to formally greet his guests.

“I’m Detective Gunderson, Leedham PD. This is my partner-in-training, Officer Blaney.”

Tiger almost flashed her a welcoming smile. The boobs heaping out of her blouse were a welcome sight but she was still a cop. That shiny badge on her left boob was a complete eyesore.

“What can I do for the two of you?” asked Tiger as he hit the record button on his phone and placed it on the counter facing the detectives. “Would you like to have the company of one of our concierge girls, Detective Gunderson?”

“Maybe later, kid. And you can record me all you want. I’m fucking bulletproof in this town. I’m not gonna run scared like Officer Baumstead, who I believe you met last night. Would you care to tell us about what you were doing in the urban forestry center last night?”

“No, I would not care to. But, if you really must know, I was getting my dick sucked.
