‘This should help,’ said Livia, placing the ice bucket on a bedside table. ‘We’ll all take ice cubes in our mouths and then use them on Chloe. Who wants to go first?’

Mike helped Chloe sit upright, while Livia watched her with interest. ‘I think you enjoyed yourself tonight,’ she remarked.

‘That’s what you said I was supposed to do,’ retorted Chloe, but she was still trembling slightly from everything that had happened to her.

‘I’ll take Chloe to her room,’ said Carlos.

Livia frowned. ‘I’m sure she knows the way.
