Chapter 12
Spine
Mhoyra, the beautiful Titan, came into the world after five months of growing within Seluneâs womb. Over that time, the moons slipped further and further into the daytime, to which Lualdir noticed. Each time he asked Selune, she assured him it was her pregnancy that made her forgetful of the time. Rather than admitting she had been neglecting her duties, after nearly a year of knowing the mortal man upon the Faedoroth.
As one of the three remaining Titans, Mhoyra held a special bond with the remaining two, who gladly helped look after her in their realm. No matter what Lualdir wished to call them, Mhoyra was still a Titan, the first born babe of the new Pantheon.
Selune gazed at her precious baby sleeping in her arms, kissing her plump face and admiring her beautiful cerulean eyes and sapphire hair. What powers would she grow into?
In the fortnight, the child had grown rapidly, far quicker than any mortal child could. Selune stayed away from the Faedoroth during that time, maintaining the moonâs schedule and keeping unwanted attention away. She happily and lovingly carted her bundle of joy in the chariot with her, explaining the mysteries of the night and sky.
Tonight, though, was the night Gabriel and Mhoyra would meet.
Seluneâs entire being radiated with trepidation and unease. What would Gabriel think? If it was anything less than adoration, she would have to break with him, and then where would she be? She shook her head, clearing her thoughts as her chariot landed in the soft grass. The oranges, reds, and maroons of the leaves and foliage were a stark contrast to Mhoyraâs bright blue hair. Even at night.
Walking down to the lake with Mhoyra in tow. Selune couldnât help but smile as her daughter giggled and chirped at the beauty. Dancing around with childish glee. Gladly, Selune joined her daughter, dancing by the waterâs edge under the nightâs sky.
âThere is nothing more beautiful to behold than a mother with her babe!â
Selune jumped, bringing Mhoyra protectively to her chest before realizing it was Gabriel who spoke. His voice warmed her ears.
Running towards them, Gabrial snatched Mhoyra into his arms and twirled her around above his head. His smile brighter than the suns as he watched her squeal in delight. Selune nearly burst from the love and attention Gabriel showered on her child. A child that he knew was not his own. The flood of emotions nearly tore her apart as she tried to reign in the tears, watching him hold her and kiss her tiny cheeks.
âMy word Selune! You are as stunning as ever but not even you hold a candle to her.â Gabriel nuzzled the babeâs neck, eliciting a happy squeal from her. She shrugged and nodded, agreeing fully. âShe has blue locks! What beautiful soulful eyes. Do you know what she will reign?â
Selune laughed delightedly at the compliments. âShe takes after her brother in her eyes.â Gabriel looked at her, stopping in his attention to the babe.
âYou have⦠other children?â A slight look of shock clouding his face.
