Cooking With Heat

We came down the ladder a few hours later. We probably shouldn’t have dozed off after we had our fun, and now we probably had sunburn in places better left unsaid. Healing magic was going to be a blessing, later tonight.

She already had to use it on herself just to walk back to the ladder.

Knowing smiles greeted us from the two guards who now stood guarding the bottom of the ladder. They did look a little surprised at seeing our attire, however. When we got dressed, we had put on our casual clothes and put our armor back into our inventory. I still had my hooded cloak on, though.

Have to talk to Laurana later, about that. Need to make sure no one knows about that special skill.

“Oh, let’s go to the kitchen, maybe Mama will let us get some snacks!” she said grabbing my hands. “You filled up one part of my belly, but made a hole in another,” she said while laughing and kissing me.

“Oh yeah!” I said enthusiastically, “I finally get to meet Mama!”

“DARK! NO!” she said, holding a claw up to my nose. “You behave yourself!”

“Noooo, she’s a cook. Maybe we can swap some recipes,” I said.

“Mmhmm. Fine. But no staring at Hethrisia… Heather!” she said, firmly.

“Roger that, flirt with cook, stare at the bunny, got it!”

I got a chest punch for that one. It was alright, it was already hurting before she hit me.
