Chapter 6

“What on the great goddess were you doing under the table, Gozlix?” Teea asked.

“Oh… just feeding my pet, my lady. It appears she was rather famished,” Goz said, patting Alara’s head, and she felt the warmth return to her cheeks. “Perhaps Tixtz could take her for a walk, I assume a ship as grand as this has gardens?”

“Uh, uh… yes. Yes, I love to stroll in the gardens. Please.” She gestured towards a side door.

Tixtz lifted Alara off her butt and back onto her heels. She wasn’t exactly keen, leaving her master with this other female, but she felt quietly confident in her place by his side. Besides, she would get to spend some more time with Tixtz, in a garden, no less. The farm had a small area with green and purple plants that Tixtz showed her once, and it was beautiful.

Tixtz intertwined his fingers in hers, placed a gentle kiss on the top of her forehead, and then quietly led her out of the dining room. She felt Teea’s perfect golden eyes following her every step until they exited the room. As soon as they were clear, in a crisp white corridor, Tixtz breathed out a long breath and pulled her into him, grasping her cheek in his palm.

“Are you alright, little one?” He searched her eyes as she leaned into his touch. She felt the urge to kiss him again, but she could still taste Goz on her tongue and couldn’t decide if that would be weird.

“I’m okay.” His lips looked so inviting, but she had control herself. Tixtz wore a look of concern, not the one of hunger he’d worn earlier. Maybe if she kissed him, it would make whatever he was so concerned about better?

“I am sorry, Alara. What Goz did was unacceptable.” He stroked his thumb across her cheekbone.

Wait, now she was confused. What had he done that was so bad? “What?” she whispered.

“Making you pleasure him in such a fashion, it is simply not done. To you, one who we hold so dear!”

“He didn’t make me… I liked it.” She loved how protective Tixtz had become, and wanted to reassure him. Part of her wanted to check if he was okay with what she did with Goz, but that was a hard question to ask. Where would she begin even asking such a thing? Goz was her master and… she internally huffed. Why was this so confusing?

“You did?” His brow lowered. “Is it a human practice? I must admit, I have not researched your species culture like master Goz has. He has become quite an expert. To put your mating appendage in another’s mouth… is quite… disagreeable.”

“He seemed to enjoy it.” She blurted out, trying to suppress the giggle that was building. “I don’t remember; it just felt natural. I wanted to do it.” And now, she thought, she wanted to do it to Tixtz—just so she could compare the aliens, of course.

The look of hunger returned to Tixtz’s eyes, like he was thinking the same thing.
