Game night,” Ava announced after the table was clear and all the dishes were in the dishwater. The twins’ school had a policy of no homework on Wednesdays, so the Connelly family played a board game almost every Wednesday night.

“What should we play?” Aiden asked.

“How about Chronology?” Mom suggested.

“No way, you always win that game because you know so much history,” Ava said.

“Why don’t we play Clue?” Dad suggested.

“Okay, I’ll get the board out,” Ava said.

Aiden wandered into the kitchen. He checked the bottom few games on the soccer schedule that was posted under a round magnet on the refrigerator. He had scribbled in the scores of the previous games.
