“Jess!” I said.

Jess looked at me, pleading with her eyes. “Please? Can’t I keep him like that for a while?”

“Man, I wouldn’t complain,” Paula said.

“Oh, I like Zeke, he’s sincere,” Marie said.

“It’s kind of an improvement,” Tanya said. “Nice and quiet.”

Rexy bent over and smelled the lemon. “He does smell better.”

“Remind me to always stay on your good side,” Jason said.

Lia looked at me. “I love Zeke, but he can be a bit much at times.”

Q-NOTE: Yeah, I know Zeke can sometimes be a little overwhelming; he tends to talk without thinking, but the guy always means well. I’ve never heard him say a bad word about anybody.
