Chapter 20

Drew

I’d lost all sense of time. I didn’t know if it was day, night, afternoon, or even how many days had passed. My body was drained of all energy, and I was barely hanging onto consciousness. Hilary and I had fucked in every position imaginable, and even some that I’d never imagined. We’d both cum so many times, I was astounded there was any more left in either of us. The room was a mess.

In the far corner, Hilary had managed to build a nest with the supplies our alphas had brought. She was currently in there, resting. I knew it wouldn’t be long until she woke up again, however. I knew that I needed to take this short respite and get some food into my stomach.

Groaning, I pushed myself to my feet and stumbled over to the mini fridge one of the alphas had dragged into the room. I opened it and grabbed three bottles of water, chugging one immediately. Then I took three protein bars from the top and unwrapped them, shoving them into my mouth one after the other. I felt Charlie come up behind me, and I melted into his arms, letting him hold me up.

He nuzzled into my neck, pressing a kiss to my sweat-drenched skin. “You smell so good, baby. I know you must be exhausted. Can I help in any way?”

I bit back my whimper. He couldn’t, not really. I needed to tap out or tap him in, but that wasn’t possible. Not once had Hilary asked for them. Often, if she caught their scents, she would growl and snap in their direction. Her mistrust of alphas was so deep in her mind at this point, she couldn’t fathom letting them touch her.

I didn’t blame her one bit, especially not after meeting her father and seeing what Alpha Brown had put her through.

“I don’t think so. A nap would be amazing, but I don’t think it’s in the cards just yet. Food was more important, and she’ll be awake soon. I’m just hoping that this is almost over. I’m not sure how much more I can take.”

“Drew . . . Fuck, I wish we’d listened to you sooner. Maybe all of this could have been avoided. I hate that you must do this alone.”

“I’m not alone. It helps so much that you are here, in the room. And all those toys you guys bought? Trust me, those are a saving grace. How are Nathan and Xavier?”

I peered over to where they were lying. Everyone in the room had lost their clothes at some point, and the sight of their naked bodies stirred my cock. Apparently, it didn’t care how tired I was. It wanted its alphas.

“They’re fine. We’re all fine. Worried about you, but that’s all.”

“I’m going to be okay.”

I broke off as a quiet whine came from the corner. With a hurried apology, I shrugged out of Charlie’s hold and rushed over to where Hilary was starting to stir, most likely in pain.
