The rage that was evident on her face made me worry that Luna might lose control of her emotions again, but no matter how much I wanted to help her in this fight, there was nothing I could do. I had tried several times now to use body activation only to have it fail me in the end.

I didn't think they would be so stupid as to try a stunt like this in a dungeon, of all places. There's no guarantee they could beat the Ant Queen without our help, not to mention make their escape with Carin waiting outside.

I watched as the two began to size each other up, and Luna glared at Dorian with pure hatred in her eyes.

"What's the matter? Are you two close?" Dorian asked, putting his foot on top of Fleur's torso.

". . .off of her."

"Huh? What's that? You'll have to speak up. I'm afraid I can't hear you that well." He said, grinding his heel in further.

"I SAID GET YOUR FOOT OFF OF HER!!"

"Luna, don't fall for his taunts!!"

But it was too late. Luna cast enhancement magic on herself and was charging at Dorian head-on with her dagger drawn. She mixed in her knifework with the martial arts she learned from Carin to unleash an all-out assault.

Dorian was no slouch either, and it was clear he had been hiding his skills. Luna was already at a disadvantage when it came to range, and now she wasn't thinking clearly. He was fending off all her attacks with the same smug expression, all while finding the time to mix in more taunts in between. The two engaged in a fierce back-and-forth with Dorian skillfully deflecting each of her attacks and Luna barely managing to doge his by a hair's breadth.

"Come on, come on! I that the best you can do? Surely, the noble Princess Luna Shinomiya isn't as much of a failure as the rumors say?" He cackled, fending off her dagger once again.

"Shut up!"

Luna growled and took on her animalistic all-fours stance and pumped more mana into her enhancement. She broke an elemental crystal over her dagger, wreathing it in fire before dashing towards her opponent once more. Her erratic movements were twice as fast as when we teamed up against Carin, displaying how hard she had been working.

"Yes, that's it. Good." Dorian said with a smirk.

Luna zig-zagged in an attempt to confuse her opponent and jumped in the air for a downward slashing feint. She backflipped mid-air before the blade made contact and crouched low to the ground while doing a spinning horizontal cleave. She poured all the magic power she could into her enhancements for the finishing blow and left a blazing ring of fire in its path, but. . .

"Shift."

Right at the moment of contact, Dorian revealed his magic while uttering the word 'shift.' His body flickered for just a moment, and what looked like him being cleaved in half was actually the blade passing through him, and I watched as his sword ran her through.
