Narrator: When Miriam was certain that the baby was quite safe in the reeds, she stood close by to make quite sure that nothing happened to him. Just then the Kingâs own daughter came down to the water with all her beautiful maidens to have a swim.

Narrator: Suddenly, the princess saw the basket. She asked one of her servants to bring it to her. She opened the basket and saw the baby inside. The baby was crying. Miriam saw what happened and forgetting about being afraid, she ran up to the princess.
