In the first step you must obtain and store your training data in a clear, structured format. For each class (in my case fruit) you must have a corresponding predictor value (in my case color). Please note this is a classification problem, therefore the predictor must fall into clearly-cut, separated classes. The predictor cannot be of continuous value – if so, you must establish classification buckets as you see most appropriate (see chapter 3).
