Chapter nine

Emma

When I decided to nix the suppressants and ride out my heat in comfort, this is not what I had in mind.

My body is jostled back and forth on what I'm pretty sure is a snowmobile, the guy holding me captive cursing as he tries to subdue me. I can't move much wrapped in this blanket, but I kick and scream, hoping that someone--anyone--will hear me.

"Stay put!" the driver growls. "You bitch--"

I twist around and somehow manage to get my chin out of the blanket, cold snow biting at my bare skin just as I bite the driver of the snowmobile. He snarls and wraps his hand around my throat, the vibrator pulses in my pussy--

I start to come.

Oh my god, I can't stop.

"Holy fucking shit," he rasps. "You need to cut that out or I'm going to pull this thing over and rut you right in the snow, you fucking slut. We'll both die in the storm--"

"Let me go," I gasp. "I need...I need..."

I need Kai. I need Callum.

I need a knot right. Fucking. Now.

I bite the driver's hand and he yanks it away from my throat, sending us swerving.

"You're fucking crazy," he says, sounding more awed than angry. "Someone's going to get lucky tonight."

"Just take me back to the resort," I beg. "I won't tell anyone...I need my pack..."

"I'm all the alpha you need for the night," he says with a horrible laugh.

And I know I won't be able to do anything about it.

I open my mouth to talk, but the vibrator pulses again and I come again, biting my tongue to keep from screaming. The snow is getting heavier, soaking through the bag over my head, and my body pivots between agony and ecstasy.

I'm in heat, and I'm trapped with my kidnapper.

Doomed to be taken once again by the ACB.

We only ride for a bit longer, though I find it hard to keep track of time. I start to struggle again as the snowmobile comes to a stop, and then I'm suddenly hauled up and over the man's shoulder, and the vibrator purrs again.

I cry out as I come, unable to control myself.

"Fuck!" he curses.

At first, I think he's responding to my actions--but then I hear another snowmobile, the crunch of snow and a motor. The next thing that hits me is a familiar scent, and my heart pounds at the prospect that I'm going to be rescued before the man tosses me unceremoniously to the ground.

I roll, trying to get free of the blanket, and it loosens up just as I hear a gunshot.

No, no!

I sit up and get one arm free, tearing the bag off my head. In the near-opaque snowfall, I see two figures--one in a full ski suit, two others in nothing but coats, jeans, and boots. Callum and Kai must be freezing, but I can see the fever in their eyes, the need to help an omega in heat.

To be with me.

"Look out!" I cry, and Kai looks my direction just in time to dodge out of the way of the other man who's come out of the cabin behind us.
