Chapter 7

As the night wore on we noticed the groupings around the pictures had started to diminish. Couples left the room, drinks in hand, chatting comfortably. Jill and Gary had stayed companionably close to us through the evening. Good hosts keeping the newbies comfortable. soon there were only a handful of people and they were standing at the bar looking as if they were settling in for an extended stay.

Jill walked over from the bar carrying two glasses of wine. We had been talking to Gary about, of all things, sailing. “You two looked thirsty.” Jill said and handed us the glasses.

“Thanks, I did a lot of talking tonight. I have to admit, this wasn’t exactly what we expected.” Jill raised an eyebrow in question at my comment.

Lilly jumped in, “We weren’t sure what to expect but it was very nice to hear the… artistic comments about the work. We felt very comfortable and proud.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” Jill told her, genuine pleasure in her voice. “We would love to spend more time together. We told a few of our close friends, two couples, that we would possibly meet them later. Would you be up to that? Why don't you talk and meet us at the bar?” Jill and Gary walked over to the bar, arm in arm.

“I'm not ready to go, if you are willing to stay?” I said.

Lilly looked at me and placed her hand on her chest. “I'd love to stay. As long as you do?” She added with a devilish smile.

“I do. Nice people and cute.” I told her with a matching grin.

We walked to the bar and told Jill and Gary we would love to stick around for a while.

“Excellent!” Gary said, slapping me on the shoulder. “Our friends are up a few floors. There are drinks in the room or you can grab something here.” We refilled our wine at the bar and followed them to the elevator.

Going up two floors Jill used a key card to enter one of the larger rooms. There was soft music playing in the background muted lighting and the sound of voices. One of the couples in the room was doing a slow dance/grope. The woman, a brunette with enormous breasts was wearing nothing but panties. Her partner a tall lean man was only in a dress shirt. The other couple was sitting in a hot tub, drinks in hand. She was a short haired blonde, also topless. From what I could see her partner was a heavier set but good looking man. Both couples appeared to be in their 30’s or 40’s.

When we entered, the dancing couple stopped, looked over and called out a greeting to Jill and Gary. The couple in the tub waved to us.

“Hey, Kyle and Lilly decided to come up with us. Let me introduce you so they can forget your names right away.” Gary told the group. We learned the couple dancing were Savannah and Geoff. While the couple in the hot tub was Betty and Neil.
