Treating the Masses
You know that Western medicine has set up protocols and treatment parameters to be able to treat the masses. No matter what your labs reveal, if you have been trying to conceive for over a year, and you are 35 or older, a reproductive endocrinologist will tell you that you have egg quality concerns. Yes, itâs true that chronological age is a variable, but with that being said, most women can and will conceive. We see it clinically year after year.
A lifestyle assessment can provide clarity and help you make better choices. I talked earlier about how your body has an innate intelligence. Your body will always prioritize how it uses its resources. When I talk about resources I am referring to blood. I am referring to qi (pronounced chi). For sake of ease, letâs just translate qi into energy. The lack of or abundance of energy you feel on a daily basis is the qi Iâm referring to. This distribution of blood and qi is used internally for all bodily functions. Your body decides to drive blood flow and energy to your gut to digest, your brain to think and to influence hormones. Your body uses qi to pump blood through your circulatory system and to your liver to filtrate out the toxins, preservatives, and all the additives in our water, food, and atmosphere. Qi and blood are used to support the kidneys, small intestine, bladder, and bowels. And lastly, our body uses qi and blood to nourish our reproductive organs to procreate. As discussed earlier, your bodyâs priority is survival, not reproduction. So how do we get your body to say yes? How do we move out of survival into an optimal fertile state?
Lifestyle choices are always something we have the option to change and improve. Diet is a big concern. Stress is also big concern. I am talking about stressful work situations, stressful friendships, and stressful family dynamics. Long commutes that have you rigid and contracted and on high alert two hours a day, five days a week are a contributing factor. Lack of sleep or light sleep can be a big variable in your optimal hormonal function. Alcohol, cigarettes, and recreational drug use will influence egg and sperm quality. I wonât waste your time with research here because itâs all available on the internet. Letâs assume this is all common knowledge. It is not beneficial or helpful pretending that these choices donât matter. I promise you they do.
