CHAPTER SIX

Rayne

I creep through the dark hallway towards my parents’ bedroom.

River’s been gone for a while and I haven’t heard anything from him since. I just hope that he and Dad haven’t found themselves in yet another argument, or even worse.

I wouldn’t know who to help first.

And although River’s my twin, I don’t like it when he instigates things so that he and Dad get into fights. I don’t like seeing either of them argue, or get into physical altercations.

“River, are you okay?”

I call out as I step closer towards their bedroom. Their door is shut but I can make out the glow of their bedroom light from inside their room.

When I step closer, my breathing fastens as I hear the clear sounds behind the closed doors.

Moaning.

Groaning.

Grunting.

Sex.

I slowly push open their bedroom door and my mouth completely drops at what I see.

My brother is fucking our Mum.

My twin is fucking our mother.

My eyes drift through the room until I spot Dad, sitting in the corner of the room with his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands as he watches his wife and son fuck like it’s a normal thing.

When he spots me, a smile forms on his face as he leans backwards, ordering me.

“Come inside, Rayne.”

Dad says with a jerk of his head. My legs stay rooted in their place, my eyes drifting to be locked again on my brother and mother, and my heart seems to have stopped beating altogether.

Why is River with her?

I’m the one who’s loved him, held him, touched him, but he’s with her. Our mother.

Not me.

“Rayne, I said to come over here.”

Dad orders me once more.

Listening to him, my feet carry me towards my Dad who’s casually sitting in the corner of his bedroom watching his son plough into his wife; his twin.

I stop walking when I’m standing in front of Dad as I look down at him.

“Dad…”

My voice trails off as he looks up at me, tips his head back, and smiles.

It’s not a nice smile.

“What the fuck does your brother think he’s doing?”

My heart races in my chest at his words. Who knows how Dad’ll react to this? He and River have always had an odd bond and I worry that this will ruin their relationship completely.

“Stop them.”

I say weakly as I turn to look back at them. River hasn’t even looked at me once, and neither has Mum. They’re both so engrossed in each other that I’m not even sure if they know that I’m in the room, watching them have sex together.

I don’t want River to be touching her, fucking her, but for some reason, I can’t tear my eyes away from them.

“Should we watch?”

Dad asks in a low voice behind me.

Turning, I take a step away from them and a step closer to Dad. I fold my arms over my rising and falling chest and look down at him.

“N-No. I don’t want to watch them. It’s disgusting. They’re disgusting. I should be going back to my bedroom.
