The sun dipped below the horizon, casting warm hues of red and orange across the sky as Marissa's backyard transformed into a private sanctuary. The soft glow from the outdoor lanterns illuminated the cozy seating area where Jackie sat with her legs crossed, nervously fidgeting with the hem of her skirt. Marissa's home, nestled in the quiet suburbs, provided the perfect secluded spot for their intimate conversation.

"Jackie," Marissa began, her voice gentle yet firm, as she placed a reassuring hand on her younger companion's knee. "We need to talk about… us."

Jackie swallowed hard, her throat suddenly dry, as she met Marissa's deep blue eyes. She felt the undeniable connection to her teacher intensify, like electricity coursing through her veins.
