Tuna Dim Sum
Tired of the usual dim sum and want to switch on to something healthier? Aside from a veggie dumpling, you can also stuff siu mai wrapper with fish, particularly tuna, to make it lighter and healthier without sacrificing the taste. This yummy dish would surely be gone fast, so make sure you make a good batch whenever you decide to include it into your dim sum feast.

Ingredients:
⢠40 pcs siu mai wrappers
⢠1 ¼ lbs. minced tuna
⢠½ lb. ground tuna
⢠1 cup chayote, steamed and pureed
⢠½ cup carrots, grated
⢠1 pc spring onion, thinly sliced
⢠1 tsp sesame oil
⢠1 tbsp fish sauce
⢠12 tbsp tapioca flour
⢠1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
⢠½ tsp garlic powder
⢠Pinch of sugar
⢠Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Combine minced and ground tuna with chayote, spring onions, sesame oil, fish sauce, tapioca flour, sugar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
2. Spoon mixture at onto the center of a siu mai wrapper, then, gather the edges to scrimp and seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
3. Arrange the dumplings in a steamer basket lined with banana leaves.
4. Boil enough water in a steamer pot, place the steamer basket with the dumplings on top, and steam for about 8 minutes. or
5. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
