“Give it your best shot, boy. And just so you know, I’ve already contacted the Elite Force, and they are on their way.” Blay smirked coldly. “Have a nice life, Crank.”

Crank was steaming by the time the vid-screen died. He winced when he turned to look at his mate. He could see the hurt look on Anok’s face, and it made Crank’s stomach burn knowing that Blay had hurt the man.

“Kill him,” Crank growled.

“Crank?” Remy said as he leaned forward in his chair. “As much as I’d like to shake him loose, I’m not going to kill him because you have an axe to grind with him.”

Crank didn’t want to hear a damn thing Remy had to say. The commander had no idea how foul Blay really was. Crank had firsthand experience. “He wasn’t bluffing when he said he contacted the Elite Force. They’ll be here soon. Blay plays for keeps. The only way to shut him down is to do it permanently.”

Remy looked as though he was considering his warning. Crank glanced over at his mate. Anok sat in Crank’s chair with his back ramrod straight, staring straight ahead. Crank desperately wanted to go to Anok and explain, but he had to take care of this situation first.

“There’s no other way?” Remy asked.

Crank shook his head. “He’s found us. He’ll never let us rest now.”

Remy gave a quick nod to Tank. “So be it.”
