"Can I even have both? Happiness and my career?" Her voice cracked with the weight of her uncertainty, tears pooling in her bright green eyes. She wiped them away angrily, hating the feeling of vulnerability that threatened to consume her. "Am I even worthy of love?"

As Jackie stared at her trembling hands, the rain outside seemed to mirror her inner turmoil, each drop a testament to the storm that raged within her. She knew that no matter how hard she tried to suppress it, her passion for Marissa could not be extinguished – but neither could the fear of rejection, of losing everything she had worked so hard for.

She took a deep breath, attempting to steady herself as she whispered to the empty room, "What do I do now?"
