Today, while on a birthday fishing trip, Callum McBroth caught a very strange fish indeed.

REPORTER: Callum, what happened?

CALLUM McBROTH: I caught the wee fish, and then it started putting lipstick on me.

REPORTER: Did the fish have a name?

CALLUM McBROTH: It wasn’t a talking fish! Or if it was, it was very quiet.

REPORTER: I understand you purchased the lipstick. Did the fish sell it to you?

CALLUM McBROTH: No, it just put it on for me. A woman called Susan Silkensocks appeared in front of us and said it was mermaid make-up and she was the only human in the world allowed to sell it.

REPORTER: Sorry, did you just say mermaid make-up? Surely you don’t believe that?!

CALLUM McBROTH: I’ve just had a pufferfish put lipstick on me, I’m starting to believe everything.

REPORTER: Thank you, Callum McBroth!

Yesterday, this sleepy town had only a ghost mermaid to boast about, but today it looks like we’ve got pufferfish selling mermaid make-up too! And everyone thought the Loch Ness Monster was weird …
