Observations

When the Arduino sketch in Listing 6-3 runs, only two ADC values are observed. At the approximate minimum values tabulated in Table 6-4, the digital values streamed to the serial monitor switch between 1023 and 12 or 13. The IRDET-01 is acting like a digital sensor at the minimum proximity distance set by the distance potentiometer.
