The information read from one of these lines will be a number from 0 to
1023. That means that with 0 volts applied to the pin, the number read will
be 0; with 2.5 volts (or half of 5 volts) applied, the number read will be
half of the maximum or 512; with a full 5 volts applied, the number will
be 1023 or very near it. Once this number is known, your can convert it to
temperature, weight, sound levels, color or whatever your connected sensor
was designed to measure. Your sensor will come with the information you
will need to make the conversion.
