WELCOME TO MINTONVILLE, the sign said as we drove through town. It seemed normal. As I stepped out of the car, I looked around. “This looks like a normal small town, Finn.”

He shrugged as he stretched his arms. The hoodie lifted slightly, and I got another view of his defined abs and the vee leading to his pants. My face grew warm. This absolute adonis of a guy fucked me in the kitchen this morning. I’ve never done something so wild.

“Are you going to trust me or what? We need to find the hub of the town. A general store, library, coffee shop, new age store. Different small towns have different central hubs.”

My eyes snapped back to his face. “What do you mean?”

“Like town elders. We need to find someone else with magic. Another witch that can break this spell.”

“So you can go home?” Would it be selfish of me to want this to be fated like he said? What if I wanted to keep him in my life?

“And you don’t get in trouble for breaking magical law.”

I shook my head as he grabbed my hand as he pulled me down the street. “What are you saying? Are you saying that you wouldn’t have fucked me without the spell? Am I too…” Fuck, don’t say it, Lilly. I bit my lip and swallowed my words. Tears threatened to spill as my eyes watered.

Finn turned. Shock colored his face. “I don’t know. I don’t know if we’ll ever know at this rate. It’s just complicated. I wish it was as simple as seeing you on the street.”

There. He said it. I wasn’t his type. I jerked my hand out of his hand. “Don’t touch me. God, I don’t want you to think I am forcing any sort of connection.” I stomped away from him as I brushed past him.

“Why did you say the spell? A stupid one at that?!” Finn yelled.

I paused my walking to turn towards him. “Dating hasn’t been fun for me lately. I was bored! I wasn’t thinking clearly and if I had known you would have shown up, I wouldn’t have done it! It’s like saying bloody Mary in the mirror! It shouldn’t have worked!” Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry. Why did I think this guy would be interested in me? It’s all because of the stupid spell. I just wanted this to be real.

I turned away from him and stomped away. His steps pounded behind me as his hand reached out and grabbed me. Finn twisted my body to face him as he pushed me against the glass of the store we were in front of. I let out a gasp as he pressed his body closer to mine. The cool glass pressed into my feverish body as Finn’s mouth pressed against mine. His hand gripped the side of my hip while his erection was pressing against my body. His fingers caressing down my thigh as he lifted my leg up to his waist. He rocked himself against my core.
