This time the hero has a dynamic pose and we view him flying above the city from a more interesting angle.

Here, we view the explosion from below, keeping the hero in frame so we know he is nearby.

In the next panel, the angle switches to show the hero surveying the scene from above. He has spotted a figure in need of rescue in the burning building.

Now we get a straight-on view at a high level. This shows the reader that our damsel in distress is dangerously high up in the building!

Here we have the hero rescuing the girl from a more exciting viewpoint.

The final panel shows the action from below and we see the girl safe in the arms of the hero. He carries her up and away from the building just as there is another big explosion!

Which of the two versions of this story do you find the most interesting to look at? If you find the panels in example 1 a little boring, it’s likely that a reader would also be bored if you drew your comic book in this way.
