An employee attaches a Gulf emblem to a Zippo key holder using solder. The attachment of company emblems to Zippo products began in the late 1950s. These special emblem orders are part of the Ad Specialty Division. The company no longer uses solder to attach emblems.

In this late-1970s photograph, a Zippo employee checks that the lid of the lighter fits and operates properly.
