Following the flow
When you can see the âflowâ of wind and water (Feng Shui) in your space, you recognize what impact it can have in your daily schedule. As in nature, a river will flow and meander to get from one place to the next. The river âsurrendersâ to the direction of the land, following its shape, moving and zig-zagging as it goes. When your space begins to mirror this âriver flowâ to you as you incorporate the elements of Feng Shui, you have access to a wonderful, helpful tool that you can use each and every day.
While life gets more and more intense, more frenzied, filled with activities and deadlines, and itâs imperative to get everything done in a day, you set goals. You may even write them down so that you donât forget your list of âThings To Do Today.â Although beneficial on one level, it can be a source of constant aggravation and frustration if you donât accomplish what youâve set out to do that day. Being trained that doing is far better than being, it is easy to feel like you didnât get anything accomplished. Yet the truth is that you got accomplished all that you needed to get accomplishedâyou got to the other end of the day. No day is a waste and nothing is a waste of time. It is all part of your river as you zig-zag from moment to moment.
This mind-set requires a surrender mode on your part. Itâs not that you canât set your goals, but to hope to accomplish each and every goal on your list is probably unrealistic and doesnât leave any room for the unexpected. Itâs the unexpected that holds the beautiful and poignant moments. Living âin the momentâ usually requires that you un-learn the directive about programming certain data, setting your goals, and forging ahead no matter what. When you âliveâ and incorporate the spirit of Feng Shui, you will find that you accomplish more than you can ever imagineâit just may not be on your list.
